I put a 3 point conversion on my Series 3. The top link mount is my question. The lower/back part of the mount has holes large enough to fit over the studs/nuts for the PTO shield. The shield has to come off due to the stamped strength ridges being in the way, which just leaves the (now useless) short 3/8 studs. Thinking this needs to be bolted here (correct?), I took out the studs to be replaced with longer bolts (I did not have 2" studs). Oil comes out the empty holes (through drilled into the diff), so I used sealant on the new bolts and put the shield back on top of the mount. No leaks yet. I now have studs. Should I put them in or wait to see if / how bad, it leaks?

DOn't just use those PTO bolts for the top link bracket. That's not much strength to hold a heavy load. Get a bracket that bolts to the 3-point and under the seat.

Bolts will always leak there. Studs thread in much tigther - they don't leak. Just get a couple of longer studs to compensate for the top link mount. Get a good mounting that goes under the seat suspension.

I got this kit from OK Tractor, so the the top link bracket they sent DOES go under the seat and bolts down with (new, longer) 1/2" bolts. I'll pull out the 3/8" bolts and use the 2" studs, with sealant. Thanks. I did/could not use the "anti sway" bracket, since it would not fit over the drawbar bracket, which seems to locate the arms pretty well.

OK's looks a bit different, but it's in and seems like it'll work just fine, after I swap in the back/lower studs. Thanks.
