 Topic: What transmission fluid for Allis 20-35?

Hi all,
I previously asked around and found out that the general consensus for engine oil for the 20-35 is either straight 30 weight, or 15w40 diesel engine oil.
OK, now how about the transmission? I don't believe I have asked this one yet, and I wasn't coming up with anything by searching.
What do you all run in your transmissions?
Trying to get all these details figured out for start up this summer, thanks!

I put 80-90 in my UC.The stuff that was in there musta been original.Resembled plastic roofing cement. Had to dig it out.

It was a substance called extra heckela, Mobil still makes it, I took 80-90 and poured in a pail and used a mixer on a drill and put gun grease in it and mixed to make it thicker, works great. 4-11-19 update. I found more info and Extra Hecela was 600 wt oil. I found records that I used 80/140 and added gun grease, 600 wt is quite thick, however it helps with remaining on the gears for lubrication.

Jacob, I looked for the barrel I used in my A but it is long gone I suppose. I'm 99 percent sure it was 140 wt also.

I am going to use 140 wt gear oil and a couple gallons of that thick Lucas.

Thanks for the advice, all other advice is welcome. I realize not nearly as many guys here are running these old ones as say WD's or whatever.
For reference to others that may be seeking this info, this document says the transmission holds seven gallons of oil. Which sounds about right because I know we drained out over five gallons worth of sludge from mine and it was not full.
