I know that an old post was asking the same question a few years ago but did not answer my question. Maybe someone can add more light. I have a 1939 to 1941 AC HD14 dozer with a Baker Hydraulic 10.6 wide blade, and a Pacific Cargo winch.

How many numbers or digits(serial numbers) will be on the (right) rear of the transmission? Are the numbers to be found on the end of the transmission on a flat surface or are the numbers located someplace else (right side) possibly on a more rounded area.

I know this is a long shot. Thanks for any information you may have that might help me.

Thanks I think the winch may be blocking the number too.

I got the answer I was looking for from New Zealand. Where most HD14's have their serial numbers on the right, mine is a horse of a different color (US7) and is located on the left.
If someone says "It's Impossible" that just means it's going to take a little bit longer.
