My son's 645 Allis payloader developed a bad leak at what appears to be the output shaft to the front end. Can't see much due to the park brake assembly being right there. Before we tear into it, is there anything out of the ordinary there? Anything more to it than just a seal? Thanks, Darrel

It has been years since I replaced one so I took a look at the Minnpar parts books to refresh my memory. It should be straight forward. Once the drive shaft and brake are out of the way; one nut and the flange comes off. The seal is right there. It seals on the flange so it will be easy to put a Speedi-sleeve on the flange if needed.

I looked at the parts books on Minnpar's site. It looks like seal # 3044462 is the one for both front and rear. The same seal was in both of the 645 parts books and the 645B books as well. I didn't find a cross to the 3044462 during a quick check on line. I found a cross to SKF 25661 by using 73044462, they said it was a Fiat-Allis seal. The SKF crosses to a National 415988. Best I can do for you, no guarantee its right.
