Getting ready to harvest some spelt grain with my Gleaner R6.  Curious if anyone else has ran spelt with a Gleaner rotary and what settings you used.  Thanks!

Its an distant cousin of wheat.  http://authoritynutrition.com/what-is-spelt/

Supposed to make about twice as much straw as wheat.  Also supposed to be a good replacement for bean meal in cattle feed.  And hippies like it!

A neighbor raised some last year, and tried to get me to raise some, too. It is an ancient wheat, that is almost 100 percent gluten free. The almost gluten free is supposedly the selling point, and I guess the straw has more value than ordinary straw also. Don't know what happened, but that neighbor didn't put any in this year. Darrel
