I have not read anything bout anybody using/requesting the Allis Express for a while. I have a D17 engine in Animas, NM in South western New Mexico that I would like to see if any member might be traveling EAST on I-10 from Arizona and points EAST thru New Mexico. I had bought it some time ago, and as luck would have it,,,the owner has passed on and his Wife called and asked what I wanted to do with it. It is a 6-7 hour trip for me and with the Wife's recent health issues, she cannot travel and leaving her alone for 12-14 hours is not gonna work. Any possibilities,,,??? THANKS,,,,, ![]() |

Problem that you going to have Joe, is that you and Michael are the only two Allis guys in them parts of the country. You've already established that you're not heading that way, so if Michael isn't either, that don't leave much. Unless I win the lottery. Then I'll be down there right away. Darrel

Yeah,,,Darrel,,I got plumb spoiled when ole JohnKC, AJ and Dave Kamp did their magic and moved the engine for the D14, all the way from SE Iowa, to Jeff City, Missouri then Kansas City and finally to within 36 miles of where I live,,,,!! I still marvel at how all the logistics that were worked out along the way,,,,mainly due to the dedication of these fine Allis folks,,, I shall forever be grateful Guys,,,,![]() ,,,,, Still keepin my fingers crossed on somebody comin east on I-10 outa Calif or Arizona,,,,maybe...maybe,,,, |
