    Posted: 22 May 2017 at 8:23pm
When parked so that one rear wheel is higher than the other, oil is leaking out the brake housing drain hole of the lower wheel. I suspect that one or both of the inner oil seal and the (outer?) oil seal are letting differential oil leak past them and into the brake housing. I'm concerned since the slope wasn't very steep - maybe a 10* slope.

A couple of questions:

1. I don't have is a service manual for the unstyled WC...I see a few offered online which I'm guessing apply to the styled WC. Are those likely to apply to removing and replacing those seals? Any recommendations on whose to buy?

2. Is it possible (likely?) that the pinion shaft is scored and the seal(s) are okay?

3. I have a National crossover # for the oil seal (AC #202603). Is there one for the inner oil seal (AC #207708)?

Thanks very much!

I know this is an old forum but, I need help with my final drives. After putting in new seals and such I noticed that the final drive bull gear cover has striped studs. Is there a way to remove them? I don't want to buy a new cover if I don't have to. Any help is good. Thanks!
