    Posted: 16 Mar 2017 at 2:44pm
Had a guy stop me at work today wanting to show me something in his car. I've talked with him before about buying some parts for my WD-45, he has about three parts tractors. In the trunk he had a three point adapter. I've never actually seen one in person but he was pretty sure it is an Allis brand and complete. It looked to be in pretty decent shape as well. We talked prices and I said I'd have to try and get the money together. So, my question is, what is it worth? I didn't have a lot of time to look it over and couldn't get any picture to help identify it, sorry. Thought I'd check with people who know about them before I got taken on something.

Thanks a bunch,
Brad

O. K.---- is it a snap coupler to 3-pt.,-- OR is it a straight 3-pt.---aftermarket,---(nothing wrong with aftermarket), If it's the snap coupler to 3-pt. I got mine for $ 150., but the guy did me a favor because this style is hard to find, I think!thanks; ac fleet

It's snap coupler to three point. I didn't get much chance to look at it, I was supposed to be working at the time. But it looked like it was in good shape to me. He said he gave $150 for it. He'll sell it to me for $160. That's if I can come up with the money. So, is it a good deal or not? I'd really like to have the three point option for my tractor but I don't want to get ripped off on it either.

I think that is a fair price. I'd love to have one for myself and would gladly pay that for it. All kinds of new ones out there too. They are better in ways but those old a-c ones are very easy to use. On and off in a minute.

I mentioned it to the wife last night. In return I got a blank stare. I guess that's better than a black eye and a bloody nose though. I've heard that happens sometimes LOL. Guess I'll have to find a way to make some money in my spare time. Anybody want a blind man to mow their yard this summer? LOL I'll work cheap.
Later,
Brad

Brad I had 1 on my series 4 D17, not a factory unit. Worked good, but I was always afraid to hook a plow to it. I sold it for 75.00 after I found a factory 3 point for the 17.

Brad always remember it is easier to beg for forgiveness than ask to permission to buy.

Boy, I've seen those things go for up to $4-500. Does it have the third link with it? That would make a difference in price.

If there weren't so many bills that needed paid I'd already own it. But it doesn't work that way. I've decided I'm gonna do whatever I can to earn the money to buy it as soon as I can. Don't know if it had the third link with it, but it's better than nothing at all.

I have a very nice one I bought that came with the adjusting handle and the brackets for both the D 17 and the D 14 Think I gave $400 for the whole set up.

Good deal. I've seen just that bracket for the top link that clamps on the rock shaft sell for $100.
Nothing is impossible if it is properly financed
