New 8010 tach problem

IBought a new tachometer from Agco. It has 10 DIP switches on the back of the new one. Old one never had this of course. I set the DIP according to the directions included. The hour tach runs backwards and the rpm needle does nothing. Anyone have experience with this? Please help.
