What do you guys think would be a fair price for this unit? He says it only has 500 hrs on it and completly new paint and wiring. A Cat2 3pt, but no hydraulic hook up. How easy would this be to add in?? also don't know the year, but have serial number.

I agree, that is cute. This one doesn't have the spin out wheels, and I'm guessing it does not have the adjustable wide front end. The steering set up is different. Does it have power steering? If you read in Norm's book about the one-sixty, there are various options that they came with. At first glance from just this one picture, I would guess this is one of the those without many options. Still a nice looking tractor with very low hours. Worth at least $5,000???

$5000? If it runs half as good as it looks what are you waiting for? Write the check and give him a tip!

Looks good. I was looking up at the pic I have on the wall of me on the neighbors 160 from years ago. It had the PAW and i'm pretty sure it had the hydraulic remote. It also had power steering. I noticed the one you're looking at has the steering drag link on the right side. I'm pretty sure the neighbors 160 had full hydro PS. Also noticed that it has 6 lug front rims. That is a very nice-looking machine. If it runs as good as it looks, bring it home. They are great little tractors. Plenty of power. No so much on the brakes... Buy a decent garden tractor, cost 3k plus, and that 160 aint no garden tractor. Pretty nice looking unit. Check it over but for 5 Id say go for it, Trev.

It looks like the pretty much basic machine, probably cost a bit more then $5,000 new but hows that for holding it's value. PS is nice, but unless you plan on putting a loader on it, steering shouldn't be that bad. If you've got the money and the need for the rig, I'd say go for it. Of course it is always easier for someone else to spend your money then it is for yourself! lol

hmmm.. I'd look it over/test drive real carefully.....it's missing a wheel bolt on the right rear ! Makes me wonder what else 'might' be missing or incorrectly installed.
Just trying to be carefull here.

Check the pedal wear to assess the validity of "only 500 hours." With only 500 hours, the original paint would have hardly been worn off of most tractors. The diamond or whatever design the 160 uses for grip on the pedals should show no wear at 500 hours. Also, check any pivoting joint, from pedal joints to the 3pt lift. With low hours, none of them should show wear either, probably even if they never saw a grease gun. I'd be really skeptical of only 500 original hours. New tachometers are out there, so that could be a possibility...
