Noticed a leak on the front of the pump and grabbed the fan / pulley and it wobbles.
Are they rebuildable? It still runs cool and doesn't leak too bad but needs fixed. Noticed on ebay they were upwards of 100 bucks. I don't mind repairing it if possible, but will more than likely involve a bearing of some sort?? Any feeback on what i'm up against here is appreciated. Thanks, Chris

Several vendors on here re-build them or can sell a rebuild kit. I am sure 1 of them will chime in .Steve in NJ comes to mind

You will have a hard time finding a rebuild kit. New is a lot easier, and I'll bet cheaper in the end.

I'm betting your'e right on that. The way it wobbles the bearing probably did enough damage to the race for me to handle it. That wouldn't mess up the core value would it?

I don't know of any vendor that wants the core anyhow, but I may be wrong.

When the one on my WD45 started leaking I went with a new unit. Sometimes they will give you trouble when trying to rebuild them yourself...clearances have to be just right.

Rebuilding a waterpump is a risky affair for most mechanics. Have had better luck with new/re-man ones. Jim D (OK Tractor), Tony C (Tonys Tractors), Steve in NJ, and Sandy Lake Implement all are great folks and can get you a good replacement.

Usually the impellers are so corroded that they don't survive removal no matter how careful you are.
