Likely the lift section of the pump is wearing out. Try putting an electric fuel pump between the tank and filters...

The D15 fuel filters are located on the side of the battery box which is about half way up fuel tank. They are prone to trap air because of their position. Pull bleed plug out of top of filters. I just blow in the tank till fuel comes out. Put plug in and all should good.
FYI, a factory type non collapsible hose is necessary between filters and pump. |

If it starts back up after it sets a minute it is the flexing in pump. Pieces is plugging the return fitting on pump. MACK

pump rebuild. knock out the return ball in the return fitting, and nurse it through the task at hand. When it can sit a little while, pull it off and send it in for rebuild.
