Anyone know where to get the correct D10 Series III muffler with the mount made on the muffler that attaches to the manifold?  I have tried Tony`s where I got one several years ago.  He does not have them now.

I too have been thinking of getting one. I have an I-40 with OVAL cutout in hood and looks like the manifold had some sort of bolts to attach to a Muffler at one time.
Also looking for a new manifold, I know new they run over 200.00.
Right now there is a straight muffler on her.
Need to start saving my pennies..

I have been trying to get some info on the Nelson muffler.  I think they use to make the correct muffler for the Series III.  No luck so far.  It appears they may have been bought out by Fleet or someone.

Just found out the AC 17 muffler is still available from Stanley muffler with the 2 bolt mount welded on according to Stan Hubbard, VP of Stanley Muffler.   I don`t know what country it is made in.  I know some folks say they don`t sound right.  I would rather have the Nelson or the original AC muffler, but that is not happening as I can`t locate one.

Thomas, welcome to the NC delegation of the forum,  sorry I don't have an answer for your question.  There is a wealth of information here on most any subject,  especially AC.  Tim

I got a reply from the Walker Heavy Duty muffler rep.  They don`t have a replacement for the series III  and do not have a muffler with the same measurements as the original . Check the online catalog myself also.   I guess the AC 17 from Stanley is the only one left to fit the D10 series III.
