Thought I'd get my drum turned while I'm waiting on the new shoes to arrive . Hard to believe but I can't find anyone that can do it . Told me their machine won't adjust that small (7") . Guess as long as I can get the drum over my new shoes I'm ok . Any thoughts ? Thanks !!

Buy new drums if you are concerned about the surface. If your only concerned about the burr, you can probably just go around it with a grinder and knock it off.

Guess it really doesn't matter . I just always turned the drums when I did a brake job on my old Chevy's .Young guys at the parts store acted like they'd never seen a brake drum before . Thanks , John .

It would just depend on how bad it is. I can turn them in my lathe. I use the short RH pinion shaft from a CA to set it up in the machine.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |
