Felt bad Sunday evening and Monday so I got tested for covid Tuesday morning and it came back positive. Must be the omicron version, more like a head cold than anything. Praise the Lord the symptoms were mild, some have been hit hard with this virus. Pretty much over it now just staying isolated so as not to spread it. BTW that nurse ran that swab through my nose all the way to my brain stem.

Oldest son has it. Talked to him a bit ago and he said about the same thing.
He sounds like he has a bad head cold.

Yes, it appears case count has changed dramatically since omicron. Impacts are mixed, probably due to whether or not a person is vaccinated. They may need to reassess the metrics for what is now critical vs non-critical.

Glad you had just mild symptoms. I had to get tested last month before my colonoscopy. Thank goodness I stuck the stick up my own nose so you know when to stop due to pain. Technician watched me so I guess it went up far enough for her anyway.

Do not allow the up the nose swab. Those swabs are designed infect you with illnesses years down the road!! Those swabs are manufactured in China!!
If you believe you are coming done with a cold or the flu, increase your vitamin and mineral intake, get plenty of rest, drink plenty’s of fluids, etc. Edited by Lars(wi) - 02 Jan 2022 at 7:01am |

Last swab test I had done was NOT invasive, took it low in the nose as stated entry point will have highest volume as virus cannot move on their own.
Still negative last month, just a Head Cold or typical Winter Sinusitis.

Some may be made in China, but this document doesn't support that claim. I know Puritan makes them in Guilford, Maine. And they had a new facility built in Pittsfield, Maine to make more after the start of this mess. Last I heard they are also building a facility in the south, Tennesse I think was mentioned.

Regardless, at least with Omicron one receives EXCELLENT Antibodies against ALL the CV19 mutations and is Over in DAYS not Weeks.

What’s the problem Freedguy? Are you against people taking extra vitamins, and minerals to boost their immune system? How could anybody be against that ? This one of those times Freedguy I shake my head in wonder, how it’s possible you are even able to find your way home.

All I can say is wow!!! How do some of these guys function in real life?
I guess I will continue taking my advice from the health care professionals that take care of my personal needs. If I am not going to take their advice, I am wasting their time and mine, along with my money. These are probably the same people that were preaching Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin, when health care professionals were saying it didn't work.

The problem WF is there were several studies that show various drugs DID WORK on a variety of people.... are you looking for a drug to keep you from getting infected, or are you looking for a drug that minimizes symptoms after you are infected , or are you looking for a drug to help you out after you are in hospital on the ventilator......... several studies, several different outcomes..

I have two people in my family that are in direct health care. I have a daughter and my wife that are both R.N.'s. I also have many friends that are involved in direct health care.
My problem is that these people that don't believe in the science and don't get vaccinated, suddenly believe in the science, when they have COVID and they expose health care workers to the virus when they need to be admitted to the hospital. Both my wife and I have each lost a former co-worker and friend that were dead set against the vaccine. Both were in their 50's. Neither had any known underlying health problems. Both were hospitalized for long periods, before passing away. Both would probably be with us today, if they had been vaccinated. It's my opinion, that if you are too stubborn to get vaccinated, you should be on your own, if you end up getting COVID. I don't know where we suddenly started listening to non-health care people over the professionals. Most of you would listen to your veterinarian if they said one of your animals needed some sort of drug or treatment, but doubt what health care professionals are telling you. It's your choice if you want to not be vaccinated, but I don't think you have the right to expose people in health care from your decision.

Well, when I need bypass surgery I hope they don't turn me down because I didn't listen to my doctor and eat more lettuce. I should be fine getting hospital treatment for covid though, as my doctor recommends against me taking the vaccine. |

The problem with Covid is its a Virus! And it attacks People! And it attacks where you are weakest! What works on one may not work at all on another. I recently had a friend die of Covid. He had been vaccinated and the booster. Dave was overweight and had some heart issues. I currently have Covid. Vaccinated but no booster. I went yesterday for a Monoclonal Antibody Infusion that my Nurse Daughter insisted on because of my age and health issues. I am feeling better. The best that anyone can do is stay away from people as much as possible and try and keep your immune system working! As many in my family will testify Covid hasn't improved my attitude!

Dan,using your reasoning no one should own a car that can go faster than the speed limit. We would still have people killing one another in cars!

Well, Hopefully by this time tomarrow, I will know if, or what I have picked up. I went to am dear friend's funeral last monday and a couple of days laater,,,I started feeling the symptoms like I always get when I'm coming down with the flu. Scratchy throat, dry cough and mild head ache. My Son bought me some Robitussin DM and has really helped on the throat and cough. Have been checking my temp but always right at 97.5°. Talked with my Brother, the MD in Milwaukee and he agreed with my regimen except he tells me KEEP taking the daily Complex C, Vitamin D3, Calcium & Magnesium, and zinc which I have been since months, and Tylenol for the headache. I 've pretty much stayed in my room as grandson comes over in the PMs and wants to play,,,,,but really feels like the flu,,,,?? Woke up at 1:45 AM and felt real good for first time in over a week,,,,?? I have scheduled a covid test at Walgreens in Roswell tomarrow at 4 pm so should know something by this time tamarrow.
