I helped out a little bit on this the last couple months. It has been in a pile in the corner of the shop for the last 11 years while other projects got finished. The heads went on Wednesday and buy Thursday night they had it started for the first time. She runs about as good as it looks and even did a little work Sunday at our fall show to get the pulling track cleared off.

	It's a 1930 CAT Sixty and every nut and bolt had been removed for the restore. A little scary starting it thinking about what would happen if the engine backfired and threw you over the fuel tank. In the first pic you can see the "starter", it's the rod sticking out from under the air cleaner and gets stuck in the visible slotted holes in the flywheel. 	That sure is nice. Some day I want to add a little Allis crawler dozer to my collection.

	My uncle had a story to tell about the starting of one in his trucking days.He always instructed everyone just short pull with out raping your thumb around the crank on any hand start engine.He was giving short pull on the bar in the fly wheel,and the big-shot son of the ranch owner showed up and says give it a real pull and his answer was its on my truck I will start it my way.So big shot got on the tractor and said I will show you how it is done.A good big pull and the next thing big shot knew he was laying on the ground with the starter crank bar several tree rows further out in the almond orchard. Also the local museum has one with a tin roof,and am told there are several wholes in the tin from the bar going flying.Neat old tractor but can be a little had to start if the timing is off or the mag impulse is not working right.
