I had posted a message about needing brackets for a TA-26 loader to fit a 185. I got a private message from Bobwhite7082 saying that a guy named Chris Steve had some. His email is Chrissteve364@gmail.com. I emailed him and made a deal. he sent me a picture which didn't quite look exactly right.
long story short, I tried to venmo the money and it wouldn't go through. I asked him to call me and when he did, it sounded very fishy and every time I tried to call him, it wouldn't answer.
I just wanted to warn you all that even on the Allis sight there are scams. Pisses me off....

Yes, this guy has been working the site for a while. I posted wtb a cultivator part that would have to be shipped freight because of the size. I got a message from BobWhite that his friend had the part in excellent condition and the total would be $75 shipped USPS Priority Mail. That was the give away, impossible to ship through the post office.

His phone number is from Detroit Michigan. but when he called me it sounded like he was overseas. I've had these types of guys scam my elderly mother. I'd love to find out where they are...... might not be a nice day for them........

I also got same message fron Bobwhite about WTB 5015 side panel. No response when I asked for picture, or if the person he referred me to was a member. Did look up, Bobwhite has only been member for short time.

Last year I got into this same scam. Friend had it and he was reliable and good guy. He wanted $200 for a part that I got for $10. Tried to call him but no phone number. These guys get new ids on forum right and left and change their names. I hate to say it for new guys but most want help and not sell stuff. If they wont answer their phone and are selling, don't deal with them.

Was looking for that Amy Hanchett name in members list - didn't see it .
Was just thinking if there is a question about something it might be a good idea to take one more step and ask a moderator to check the IP / or some of the info on the users name .
Not that it would prevent any FRAUD but might at least filter out some of the SPAM or FAKE individuals ... Might ask in Form Talk area or in this Classified area for a Moderator to look up individual as IP can be checked against spam listings sites

Ole Bobwhite pm me also when I was looking for a part for my 82s mower mount. Same BS line, needless to say I gave him a very firm message back of what a low life they are for scamming folks.

We have discussed this type thing before... Hate to knock on the NEW GUYS, but if they dont have 50- 60 post, DONT BUY FROM THEM....... If THEY are buying, then OK... but dont send money to a NEW BEE.
