My 38 B has had a three point fitted to it long before I got it. Some of it looks homemade and some of it looks like it could be factory.

Would someone please post a picture of what a later model B three point looks like so I can compare?

Thanks in advance.
Matt

There is no real Factory 3 point, only aftermarket. The most common is the one we sell:

I have that 3-point kit on my 55 B and am very happy with it.  The only downside is that it carries the weight a little far back and heavy loads make the front get a little squirrely.

Does the B hydraulic pump have ample capacity to raise and lower the 3pt quickly? Seems it raises my sicklemower fine, but it takes about 30 seconds to fully raise the header on my 60A with hydraulic header lift.

I used it for hauling firewood last fall and it worked fine with some decent loads.

I only carried one of the big ones at a time.  As I said before, the weight is a little far back and the front end gets squirrely especially going uphill.

Dan, when you have to go uphill, just turn around and use reverse. It might be safer that way. Big smile

Good advice.  I usually do back up hills when I have a load but I have a slight upgrade where i turn to back into my woodpile.

I always back onto my trailer.  I don't like the feeling driving on.  I once flipped my Jacobsen onto myself driving up ramps onto my pickup now I am a little gunshy.
