    Posted: 04 Sep 2019 at 9:00am
Hello.
I am new to the forum.
My name is Ludovic I live in Europe (Belgium).
In my collection I have several farm tractors. Probably unknown brands in the USA
1 Fendt FArmer 103S
1 Hanomag R442 Brillant
1 Massey Ferguson 65
1 Fordson super dexta
Here is the presentation.

I own a BTL 14 D allis chalmers and a TL 12.
I intend to start the restoration of the BTL 14 D at the beginning of the year 2020.

The last time I drove with 2009 at the end of the day the transmission began to slide in both directions of advancement.

At the time I immediately check the tire but it was well inflated. I guess the problem comes from the converter.

The question I ask myself. Can we still find spare parts?

Thanks to the members who will have taken the time to read my presentation SmileSmile
Sorry for the fault of writing in English. I am doing my best.WinkWink

I would say that finding a torque converter for that machine is going to be a difficult task especially for where you live.  Perhaps your best option would be to see if the converter can be repaired or rebuilt.  There are places in the USA that are able to do that but I dont know what is possible in Belgium?

Thank you for your reply.
It is my pencée also that the problem comes from the torque converter.
If we also repair the converter in Belgium.

Is it a D-14 TLB?  If so, then the F/R shuttle lever is on the left.  It doesn't have a converter, it has a power director clutch...Wink

A couple pictures would clear up any confusion about what you have...

Now that you say this, you could be correct.  I saw tl-12 and was thinking he was talking TL14D.  but perhaps it is a tractor loader backhoe?  in that case power director would be much easier to deal with than converter in TL loader.  but he mentions the tire pressure, which some early models had in the drive line.

Hello.
 it's a BTL 14D.
The lever of the inverter is on the left.
And there is a tire that makes the connection between the engine and the transmission.

The difference between the TL and the BTL D is therefore the transmission?
If I understood correctly?

https://eu.ironplanet.com/for-sale/Wheel-Loaders-Allis-Chalmers-TL-14-Wheel-Loader-North-Dakota/1611160?iprefoh=www.ironplanet.com

It's the same as the one in the links I just posted.
The difference mine has a continental AEC diesel engine.
It has a lever with 4 speeds on the floor.
I can not see the picture you publish.

OK so doing some research B  stands for British so it is a TL-14 diesel

I dont know what transmission this British model has but if it has a forward and reverse lever like TL-12,  could be as simple as adjusting the 2 clutch packs?  Later american models had allison transmission.  yes this will have converter not power director like tractors.
sorry i do no know more.

yes it is exactly the one in your book.
I try to post an image but I can not do it.
Ah so allis chalmers had a production site in England?
I do not know if there is a clutch fit.
When it broke down, I put it down and did not move it for many years.
But I really want to restore it completely.
It worked really well.
A real pleasure to drive.

thank you for your help it's a pleasure to receive valuable information

verify fluid levels and converter charge pump.  converter may not be bad, but low on oil.
