What is the current status of Allis-Chalmers Energy?  I read it was bought out by another company. Then heard the deal was not yet settled.  There was speculation that the name and logo could be sold. Does anyone have any insite on this?

They were bought by a company called SeaWell,   the new name of the merged companies has not yet been released,  they are still being traded on the NYSE but not to sure when the deal will be final and they will no longer be an American company.

I am pretty sure they have, and they don't care. Their entire ambition seems to be to become Massey Ferguson, since Massey has always been so wildly successful here in the states.......(sarcasm)
This could be a tremendous opportunity for them to save face by purchasing the rights to the name and bringing a COMPLETE line of quality Allis Chalmers equipment to the marketplace. Yeah, right. That might make too much sense for the U.S. market. We are too close to saving defeat from the  jaws of victory to do something like that.
