   Have a question about the hydraulic pump on my B built into the pto/belt housing assembly. Right now the little ram is off as it didn't come with one so it just has the hose end left open; never used it before so I have never had reason to bother with it. I turned on my pto and it just pumps fluid out the hose even with the handle down in the drop position but doesn't seem to be with much pressure. Do I just need to cap the port to get it to have some back pressure to recirculate into the housing or is the valve not closing all the way and I need to un-stick something? I don't need the lift on that tractor so I am fine with capping the port; I just didin't want to cap it if the problem is a stuck valve so I am putting dead pressure on the pump all the time but it doesn't seem to come out with much pressure which is where I wasn't sure on the needing some resistance to recirculate idea. I just want to be able to run the pto and pulley without pumping all the fluid out so I can use it to run my corn grinder display at shows. Thanks for any help.

	I don't have any systems on my B so I removed the hydraulic pump from my PTO. It was easy. I had some 3/8 aluminum flat stock and manufactured a nice cover plate. Made a gasket and painted it. Really cleaned up the back of the tractor and the best part, no more leaks. I kept the pump just in case. Edited by BEK - 27 Mar 2018 at 8:02am

	If adjustments on control lever is correct you should be able to just put pipe plug on outlet port to seal it and be good.

	The B & C pumps do not circulate. It either pumps pressure to the cylinder, or holds pressure, or lets pressure return to the housing.

	Thanks for the info. I will look at the adjustment to see if I can get it to stop and just cap it but if it has to come off from something sticking I may just make one of those plates; that looks really clean. Thanks
