Hi, I'm new here. I've got an 115kW Allis Chalmers 3-phase generator driven by an Allis Chalmers 11000 turbo diesel engine that I'd like to sell. I'm told the generator ran when it was stored but that was 10+ years ago (so I'd assume 20). This forum appears to be more centered on farm tractors but I thought the 11000 block, or other parts could be used as parts? This unit is designed to run at 1800rpm so I'd assume the governor and other equipment is different.
Any interest? It is near Colorado Springs, CO. It's all trailer mounted. I bought it for the trailer so it could be removed and had for super cheap, or trade for a similar trailer. Basically I don't want it to go to scrap if I can find a better home. I have not use for this large of a generator and have no interest in fixing it up to resell.

Maintained one like this for many years. Not a bad set but like anything, parts availability are the reason it was taken out of service. Most older gensets I maintained were converted from the original hydraulic governors, (Usually Woodward) to aftermarket Eaton, AMBAC, or PSI in later years. I think the only engines smoother running than an 11000 are either a Continental, or Chrysler flathead six, Detroit V-12 diesel, or a couple of Waukesha engines that slip my mind.

The block, head, and internals will all be usable for most anything. Should have an SAE flywheel, and housing on the engine rear and pretty standard items on the front. Oil cooler will be different as will manifolds and such. Starting system 24VDC, or 32VDC in that size units.
That's All Folks!
