Hey guys what are the torque Specs for the valve cover nuts ? I think there way over tightened thanks -justin

I doubt it. Just snug them up. Use sealer on the gasket to stop any leakage. If it leaks, tighten up a bit.

If it has been over-tightened, it probably needs hammered out. They bend quite easily and get distorted so the gasket doesn't seal properly. Take it off and use a straight edge to see how bent up it is. A nut drive will get the bolts tight enough without using a ratchet.

Yes, if oil is leaking out from the gasket and running down on the manifold. It has nothing to do with burned oil coming out of the exhaust. |
