That WD looks really nice. I am finishing restoring a 1950 WD. Did the WD have silver paint on the front wheels from the factory. I'm thinking they did, but have seen many w/out it.

All wd's and wd-45's had solid orange front rims. The silver rim with the orange center was on the series I D-17 and the D-14 when they came out in 1957. HTH.  Don Jr.

I'm not sure.  If you look at this advertisement for a WD and a roto baler it shows silver front rims.  https://www.amazon.com/Advertising-Chalmers-Tractor-Milwaukee-Wisconsin/dp/B07QWXJ7C9

Either way I think they look good!

Everything in that picture is black and white. The tractor and baler are orange.

The WD's & WD-45's all had solid orange front rims. The image on the old post cards are taken from black & white photos and then colored. When they were colored not all of the image was done or done correctly.
Thanks & God Bless

I agree Joe, either way they look good. It will be easier for me to just paint them all orange. I hope my restoration looks as good.
