You could have come by my place in Colorado and I would have been happy to unload the D10 here for you! Nice forklift, my 621 is about as handy a fork lift as you can find.

It seems like you 'lost' the mid set of wheels on your trailer ! So, I'm cuious as to what weight you can haul . if I only had more space, more time, more money, sigh........

Richard,
Awesome additions to your collection of unique tractors and equipment! Thanks for posting the pictures. The fork lift is a good tool! Not sure how the green one fits it but looks to have some features I had not seen before. Any specific plans for these? Regards, Chris

General rule of thumb using Federal bridge law, he can weigh 40,000 on the trailer with that axle setup. If he had the third axle, it could weigh 42,000 on that axle group. Possibly more, depending on the distance from front to rear axle.
With a 5 axle combination his gross can only be 80,000, unless he gets an overweight permit in each state he operates in, and not every state allows it. The reason for this setup is you don't have to worry so much about weight distribution. In other words, can load a little heavier to the back without being overweight on an axle group. thanks for the trailer info. I know Ontari and Michigan have different laws ,as a steel hauler I knew had to readjust his trailer axles after he crossed the boarder. Seems like PITA to me but I guess 'asphalt roads' are made differently...oh well... It's be a REAL PITB hauling through 3 or more states with different laws, yeesh !

I got a D-10 series III with the 2 speed ahead of the transmission, from Eldon several years ago. Maybe I should go check the barn.

Glad they made it to a good home. I am sure I will regret letting the crane tractor and forklift go....that forklift came in real handy when building my last barn. The trucker's trailer is a spread axle, he arrived with them close together, then when I told him the FL would probably fit better if it went on last he spread the axles so the rear would carry the weight better. He just inflates the air bags, pulls a coupler and drives forward to reposition it....pretty simple.

Fork Lift has come in handy already on moving things around.
Had to pull the float out of the tank. Glad to get the IB crane, may try and get it running this weekend. The BNH fits in with my collection on High clearance tractors. Have a BNH Wide front one also, but it needs restored. Here are few more pictures of the tractors Plan to work on the D 19 more this weekend and change out the steering column. Need a sway block for the 3 point on the right side. |
