Neat video. Appears to be a Military dozer, at least at one time. 1091 cubic inch, 17.9L engine......wow it's a BIG one.

Anyone know the back story of how and when it ended up in the swamp?

probably got 'bogged down' and sunk.....
there's a LOT of A-C dozers under the Alaskan highway ! uncle drove them. if they couldn't get them out FAST...they became 'good base material'.....

there's a few great TV segments of Al Quiring on 'highway to hell' recovering stuck machines. he must get paid a LOT of $$$ to rescue them !!

The TD24 was loaned out to make snowmobile trails and it fell in the swamp in Dec... and the fellows that recovered it had heard about it and found it in March 44 years later. They had tried to retrieve several times and the last being successful... 2 years later.
The army corp had tried to get it out back when it went in and that was when so much of the damage occurred... I would have said it was when they had the track hoe reaching down for it. LOL
