Bought this at the Polk sale in IN about month ago.

D 15LP looks like it has fender side panels.
18.4x26 rear tires spin out rims
The brackets will need some pieces weld back into them.
Fenders not the best, but it does have power steering.
When I turn on the LP on it just goes right out the air breather.
Regulator or carb needs attention.

I like those rear rims. Are they welded to make them wider or were the rails put on a wide rim?

Eldon,
They welded the rear rims have not been made wider the inside rail is welded like normal, the rail on the out side short.

Don,
I got lucky on this find as wanted D 15LP to go along with the D14LP and D 17 LP I already have.
I did not have time to go to there sale but had friend up in In at the sale and they bought the tractor for me.

Today got the tractor running.

The Regulator needed some work.

Regulator was rusty and the valve that keeps the LP out until the carb pulls vacuum was stuck and the spring was rusted in half to kept closed.
Good thing I have couple part Ensign regulators around and made one gasket the diaphragms where still good.
The motor has one cylinder that is low on compression.

All the Gears are good and hi low, power steering are good.

Hook up the tractor up 2 bottom disc plow and plan to put it to work.

Gotta love them LP's. I have a D17 LP (actually it is my wife's tractor) that has been awaiting my attention for about ten years now, but continues to be neglected. I have to find all of the LP compopnents for it, cause the previous owner converted it to a gas, to the point of ruining the LP tank by making it into a gas tank. AAAAARRRRGGHH!! Darrel

Today after running the tractor in past months some.
Check the compression again today and had 90 30 55 60.

The tractor had been really hard to start but when running does not smoke at all and has good oil pressure.

Removed the head and this is what I found.
valves and seats will need attention.

Warm weather got few things done.

Removed the front axle to allow the removal of the pan.

Pulled all four sleeves today as they had enough damage to them.

Also one of the pistons had broken ring.

Took picture of the lower end, look how clean it is compared to gas motor.

Here is the set up we use for pulling sleeves when the block is still in the tractor.
My Dad had made the plate just little under size of the sleeve.

To help we use slide hammer at the top.

Back to work on the D 15 this week.

Installed the new sleeves was able to save the old pistons and install new rings.

Install the head and adjusted the valves was about to install the Manifold, started to install the studs and notice the one is strip out.
seems like this is more common I thought.
Drilled the hole out for the Helicoil, will tap and get it installed Saturday.
Also work on the Front axle as this was damaged before I got it.
a lot of heat and big hammer to straighten this out.
