Hello all, please forgive as I know this is out there already but when using 'search' it wants more than three letters and H3 is throwing it about. I have just become the owner of a 1961 H3 and it came with "service manual" but aside from tearing it down it has no listing for service items such as fluid specs and locations. I looked around the web and found several different suggestions depending on the specific fluid (ie. shuttle drive could be detergent or non-detergent and even a post for dextron.) I would like your collective wisdom in helping me keep this old gem running. Thank you so much in advance.

"Transmission-16 quarts SAE 10W30, Final Drives 80 EP gear oil 6.7 quarts, Power director 8.33 quarts,  shuttle SAE 10W30 10.5 quarts, Hydraulic system, 12 quarts, above 45 degrees, use 20W20. Below 45 degrees use SAE10W or 10W30". I am reading this right from the  H/HD3 service manual. I use the equivalent to Allis Chalmers hyd. fluid from the farm store in the shuttle, transmission, hyd pump. 15W40 Shell in the diesel engine. 4 quarts in the gas engine.  Cooling system 10 quarts. Taken from AC Operators instructions  form TM-415.

Thank you for the reply, appears I'll be adding another manual to the collection sooner than latter. With the work required to pull parts I didn't want to mess it up by just adding the incorrect fluids. Thanks again.
