My Father passed away this morning ,next month he would of been 84 years old .A few on here have met my Father. He died on the Farm ,witch he was born on. Everyone would ask Dad how I got into Allis Chalmers when I grew up on I-H and Farmall ,Dad would just tell them I was a turn coat.

I had the honor of getting to know Elmer [Freds dad] Uncle Bill and Roman. These three brothers had a passion for keeping these old tractors alive and they passed it down to their sons and daughters. Elmer and Roman liked their red tractors and Bill liked Allis and Fordsons. The other legacy that they left was a Passion for Steam. I don't recall if Elmer was ever into steam but Bill helped many young men get started with steam engines. We will miss them but what they stand for is going strong. I will keep your family in my prayers.

It's a experience each of us will face at sometime , yet no one is ready for it . Know some of what you must feel as with Roxann passing on August 18 . Good memories will sush aside the loss but they still come to you and at times you least expect it and in ways you never imagine . Just a word or when talking to someone and something triggers the loss feelings. It is natural but doesn't seem right, yet grief plays with us both in memories and reality of the loss . Trust in GOD and ask him for the strength to make it through this moment and those to come, both for yourself and for your family . Sharing here with friends has helped me face the reality and many here have helped me each day to get to tomorrow , for it is a journey that can be hard and also lonely, but that is when we forget or put off the idea to call on friends and God to fill those times .

Fred, Your dad will always be with you in your thoughts...
I find that I still think of my father as I work this farm, and he has been gone 14 years as of yesterday... and my mother just 4 years the day before that.
All I can say is that tho I miss them much, they are not fighting health issues or pain or the worn out bodies any longer, they are at rest with the heavenly Father. "to be absent of the body and to be present with the Lord" A much better place.
May God's peace be with you and your family.
