Tried the search but didn't find....Which of the 'modern' antifreeze products do you use in your WD... I am having a leak fixed in mine and wonder what's best and what % should be antifreeze... central Kansas so gets down to zero once in a while...Peace

mine sits in cold storage over the winter with 50/50 Prestone here in MN where it's been -30 or lower several times the last couple years, never had an issue

I found out years ago that some tap water will cause rust in the cooling system.
Ever since then, I buy one gallon of anti-freeze and one gallon of distilled water (or take it from my dehumidifier) and mix them 50/50.
Then, I always have antifreeze ready to use whenever i need it. No mess, no fuss!!

Thanks guys.... I know where the de-humidifier is...that will save me from looking for the distilled stuff, I will let the de-humidifier distill it.

You can buy most antifreeze today already 50/50 mixed.

May give that a look too, thanks...although I have started getting water from the de-humidifier...

Yes you can...but...even when you add the cost of a gallon of distilled water, buying full strength and mixing it yourself is much cheaper.

Brian, I was thinking that might be the case...that is why I am waiting for the de-humidifier to do its' thing.
