Has anybody here repaired the center section of an idler? Wondering the best method is to fix these. If you have a decent one for sale, please let me know.

HD5 and HD6 use the same front idler - you can have them welded up by track shop of everything else is good - bearings - seals - axle shaft. 
 They use submerged arc welding while unit is in jig to get even weld on wheel

You should speak on this site to dadsdozer he should still have a good used idler and me am still have some but am to far from you, am near MONTREAL CANADA  and am't shipping parts over 60 lbs.

In Duluth MN try Northern Engine , can try Northern Tractor In Osseo MN , also Thill Track and Tractor in Eau Claire WI, Kato Track and Welding  , Crawler Welding in Mankato MN.

John Parks at General Gear is an excellent reasonably priced source for a lot of AC parts.
