I tried the search and did not come up with any help SO Radiator started leaking yesterday on my WD45...looks simple enough to take out...anything, tricks of the trade, that I should watch for? this is coming from a wanna-be, not a true mechanic. ------------- Holding a grudge is like taking poison and expecting the other person to die |

| I will turn the wheels on narrow front (tricycle) all the way LorR and then it is easier to get to hold down bolts (which if org will be square head) and a socket and ujoint ext will take them out, from there just hoses and turn fan with wide space down will help |

Pretty simple, kind of a blind operation taking mounting bolts out, will need to stretch grille shell over water neck or tilt bottom out first when removing.

If it's been in since new, those 2 mounting bolts can be dirty or rusty or both. Might try to juice em up good and if the don't wanna turn right away, work em back and forth. Watch your fingers

| Another thing is that there are holes in the frame rail that you put an extension through then I believe a 3/4 in socket to take out the bolts. The holes are probably filed with dirt and grease but they are there. Good luck I took mine out and the hole mounting strap was basically rotted away so I have to make a new one. |

this one has been out before...it think...cause the ?cowling? that meets the right frame rail has been welded and maybe even stuck to the frame rail. LOL! Had to laugh when I seen you figured out putting the extension through the lower hole then adding the socket.Easier that using the u-joint method. It is a 3/4 socket. If the hoses are old it's easier to cut them off and install new. I have best luck on lower hose by sticking it on rad and kinking it back to start on water pump.Reverse for removal but that lower hose can be stuck so tight on water pump....that's why I cut it and put a new one on. |
