Our local tractor show is this weekend as well as their consignment auction. I bought a pair of saddle tanks for $150. It was kind of a spur of the moment thought but I'm thinking about getting them all painted and polished up and put on my 220. this would be strictly for show purposes only. I honestly have no idea if they will even fit or not.
It would definitely be something unique and different at a tractor show.
Anyone have pics of saddle tanks on a D21 220 or 210 they could share?
Dumb idea or did you think that would be cool too?

If you polished them up I think it would make for a neat display.

I had to have some flat plate made with holes punched in them to fit on the side rails of my 180 when I mounted saddle tanks on it (even with the universal fit mounts) the plates were a little over a 1/2 inch thick, and extended the area where to mount the tanks, painted them orange and it looks like original equipment when the tanks are on it!

the ones you bought are really wide, you mmay have to build a mount to hold them up high, they will sit somewhat over the front tires, a little metal fabrication should do the trick!

When you get em mounted, you could fill em with water and make a small boom for across the back and us it to water the dust down.

We used them on 190XT and 7000 many years. 200 gal. each side plastic. Getting ready to take them out of shed . $50. for tanks and mounting pipes, maybe some hoses too.

when I needed to put saddle tanks on another tractor that I didn't have the right mounts for, I had a local welding shop make me a 3=pt adapter to slide the saddle tank mounts into, it worked great! looked a little weird but worked...and now can use them on any of the tractors, each tank is 300 gallon. they are the Snyder trim=line tanks.

Thanks for the replies.
Not sure what I'm going to do yet. Yes it would look very cool just wondering if it would be worth all the hassle and I don't want to scratch up my tractor any more than it is. guess we will se how long and cold winter is if I need a project in the shop.
