My hd11e developed a hydraulic issue today while pushing some brush. It belched all the hydraulic fluid out of it. It is building a LOT of pressure in the resivour. I took the grill covers off and do not see a vent anywhere. Is there supposed to be a vent or do I have bigger problems? Pressure developes in the tank after running just a few seconds.

No vent that I know of. Where did it blow the oil out?

Can't tell exactly. Oil was everywhere by the time I realized it. Looks like where the pump goes onto the tank or the shaft seal coming from the engine. If I run it without the cap on it, it doesn't leak anywhere. But I'm sure if I run it with it on its gonna blow something out. It builds a lot of pressure in there!

If there like my hd6b with hard nose pump is inside casting, may have blown o ring going to the valve ??????

Haven't messed with it much this week. Hopefully I'll get the xt out of the shop and get the dozer in there this weekend and start tearing into it.

Finally got it in the shop today and tore into it. It leaks where the control valve bolts onto the top of the tank. Would a leak here cause this thing to make pressure in the tank? I disassembled the entire control valve and don't see any obvious problems. Lots of hard and brittle O-rings, but none blown.
So now I'm not sure if I should take the large pump assembly off and look further, or reseal the valve assembly and try it. Does anyone have a schematic of the pump that would show me what's down in there that they would be willing to send me or even sell me? Its an HD11E serial number 10102.
Also is there a forum member that sells parts on here. I'm going to need a seal kit for the valve, and I would just as soon give my money to a forum member if possible.

I have a book for the Allis built blade that's on my HD11B. It has a parts breakdown for the front-mount pump. Both with the integrated hyd. tank and the pump with the tank beside the driver.
Is that what you are looking for? It's in the shop, but I can try to sneak out there later tonight and grab it.

Yeah. I have the front mounted tank and pump. I have a service and parts manual for the rest of the machine, but it has nothing on the hydraulic blade. Thanks in advance.

OK, I have the manual scanned. 54 pages. It covers the 11GD (angle blade, hydraulic lift), 11BD (straight blade, hydraulic lift), 11GDC (angle blade, cable lift), 11BDC (straight blade, cable lift).
The hydraulic section includes both the complete front mount unit (pump, tank, valve all at the front) as well as the front mount pump with the tank and valve beside the operator.
It's a 12MB PDF file, so can't upload it here. If anyone wants it, send me a PM and I can email it.

Ended up taking the pump the rest of the way out. I found that it had pushed the seal out of the pump input shaft. Disassembled the pump and found no other damage. Resealed the pump and the control valve and put it back together. Ran it for about an hour last night and all is well. No leaks and no more excess pressure in the tank. Thanks for the PDF diagrams Andrew. They greatly assisted me! You are definately one of the people that makes this forum great!!!

When I first saw that manual on eBay, I figured I'd get it since that was the blade I had. I didn't realize at the time that it included all the info on the hydraulic system as well.
