Didn't want to hijack Osage's post so I'll start a new one. Back in January of 2007 "JeremyMI" posted pictures of a very unusual NFE on a C Unfortunately I did not save the narration from the thread but I did save the pictures. As I recall, he got no responses to his inquiry of what it was. It has always intrigued me as it looks like it could be factory.

I missed that original thread. Neat - I hope someone can provide some info on it.

I wonder if it's a Farmall narrow front put on the A/C?

Pro, You may be onto something. That upper steering shaft support looks a lot like a Farmall B. I can't find a good enuf picture of the IH B front end on the internet to see if it also looks like it.
Eldon, I, too, always thought that big pitman arm and long drag link on the C and CA detracted from their otherwise good looks.

I'll +1 for the possibility that it was adapted from some other machine... and a Farmall would be a strong possibility.
If so, whoever did it, was truely an artist!

Doesn't a FarmAll cub have the same type of column? Might be pirated from a Cub?

Here's the best pictures I can show you for comparison of a Farmall BN front end:

Yeah, I found that one but the picture of the gear box is not too good. From what I can make out, it looks different than the one on the C. However, that picture led me to believe the steering shaft support is the same as the one on the Allis C.

It could be a Farmall bulster with a C narrow front bolted to the bottom of it. Anyone know if the bulster bolt holes match up to a C narrow front support? Should be four bolt holes.
Anyone know who has that tractor? I would be interested in seeing pictures of it without a grill/radiator on it.

Be interesting to know what the AM casting #'s are and which part of the front end they are on.

That not a farmall front end. Looks to me like a Allis front with a old automotive box grafted into it the end of it looks just like my 52 chevy gearbox I use to have
