Did all chamberlins have a front spring axle?  Seems an odd feature on a tractor due to controlling depth on mounted equipment.  Or is this a standard tractor with a drawbar only?  Never quite seen a muffler like that either, spirally wrapped.  Have fun loosing your hearing to that screaming Jimmy!

thanks to all for the kind remarks. To answer the few questions, power is 3-71 GM,with 9 forward gears.90 drawbar horsepower, about 1962 build year. All chamberlins had a front spring except the industrial models and the last models built when john deere got involved, which were as much deere as chamberlin. The orginal muffler was gone and it had a straight pipe on it when I got it,so I made a new one using 8 inch auger barrel(spiralwelded type only sort can get here),this is a drawbar only tractor for broadacre, but other models with front springs had 3-point if wanted ,9g champions for example, the same model as the ones that drove across the USA.

pretty neat.  They were featured in The Plowshare a while ago, they joined forces with Deere in Australia.  and they had several high speed tractors.
