I'm digging down through 20 years of sticks and squirrel doo doo to find the brake band adjustment screws for my track loader. I'm wondering if anyone knows what type of tool it takes to reach into the access hole and turn the universal screw for the band adjuster. My pedals are getting a bit low and I think it;s time to check the brake bands.  The location on the left side looks like I may have to move the battery box to get at it. I'm out in the middle of nowhere and have to try to anticipate what tools to take. I've got to also pull apart the main rams for repacking and working out there is always a challenge to keep things clean and sealed up from bugs and rain and dirt. I've been told that I can just pull the guts from the ram and rebuild it at my shop. I wonder how hard it is to reinsert that piston and rod into the ram tube?Ouch

Hey Corey

All you need is a 3/4" socket a rachet and an extension bar. The adjuster cover bung has a 3/4" hex nut attached so that's easy. Then the adjuster is the same, tighten the adjuster clockwise until it won't go any further then back of one and a half turns (3 detent clicks), put the cover back on and you're right to go

Hey thanks, Aus. I'm hoping I won't have to remove the battery box for access to the left brake. I've got to take a generator, air compressor, and vacuum cleaner down there and clean for a bit so I can even see the left brake adjuster plug!
