My wife and I are working on our bucket lists.  Had a chance to try out Segways on the Chicago lake front (DW's birthday present trip).  Easy to learn and a blast to drive.  If you get a chance, try one.

they might be the way for me to gits around a little better, as i can't walk far, but also can't stand long either! how are they on dirt/grass?

They had a few with fatter tires that would do alright on gravel or dirt trails.  I would never have been able to walk the distance we covered with the Segways, but I did get tired of standing after a while.  There was a rest break part way through the 2 hour tour.  That was something I was grateful for.

Yes, I choose wisely many years ago.

Yes, she knows and complains occasionally.  She is into quilting, so I just remind her of the time she spends doing that (and ask about any recent fabric purchases)!!

The guy who invented the Segway died a couple of years ago after he accidently drove his off a cliff in front of his house...irony I guess, Trev.

I asked the guide how many get driven into Lake Michigan as there were a lot of tour operators on the lake front.  He never has lost one, but there is a couple every year he said.
