Uncle has an HD4 that works great, except after 10 minutes of running it will stop moving in foward or reverse until it cools back off, then it will move for 10 minutes again. We havent had a chance to look at it yet, but was wondering if anyone ran into this before or has any ideas what too look for

Sounds like a torque converter problem.
Are the fluid levels up? Does the oil smell burnt?

Clutch pack in the fwd/rev worn or hyd pressure low to hold clutches.
Get info to find hyd pressure for the system. also there is a filter in the system and a screen on intake.
On mine the spring in the fwd/ rev valve broke on one side of valve body and the slide valve would not move into position to allow oil to flow to clutch pack. Replaced the spring and worked fine.
