Newer, more HP, diesel engine available (never a diesel K), nicer cab, more capacity with better cleaning fan and longer walkers 1978 and up, hydraulic swing auger available 1978 and up, electronic monitors that were second to none in their day.

K2 has 1squirrel cag fan as compared to 2bat fans on k. K2 has larger drive axle and electronic ignition on gm250 gas.

I believe more parts interchange with larger models, so more parts available, always a consideration. For instance, cab parts, diesel engine parts, sprockets, reel parts, reel drive, a/c parts, would be common to M and L combines, I think.  could be wrong on this one but Id bet on it, Trev.

Parts are common, aside from width, to the F2's. Same machine just narrower.
