After much discussion and prayer we sold our too large house( and for the past 4 years undervalued) got rid of the mortgage and are moving to the "farm". We have 30 acres of beautiful mixed pastures and hard woods an hour west of Louisville. The ceptic system and well are going in next week then the power will be brought in. We bought a used single wide that is in fantastic shape and the cabin will be the guest house and canning kitchen. The shop building goes up in about a month so I have a proper home for my WD45.The chicken coop contruction begins this weekend, the pigs and beef cows will wait until spring- I have lots of fencing left. My wife of 24 years and I finnaly realized that the big city life just was not doing it for us and for many years this was our dream. She will quit her job and be a full time to run things there . The best thing is all this will be paid for and I just dont care anymore what everyone else thinks about what I live in. We have an amazing God created view out of all the windows, a huge creek at the back and so far off the pavement that I dont think even the IRS could find me.

Sounds wonderful to me but if you read this forum much, you know we want picturesLOL
Just make sure the camera doesn't leave any GPS markers on the pic and the ATF won't find you any quicker than the IRSWink

Congratulations, I love it when a plan comes together.  My wife and I are remodeling her grandmothers 200 year old farmhouse. I had to move there in order to marry her and it was a bit of a tradeoff. But over the years we "dream together" and I realy love this old place now. I see our plan coming together as well.

The universal answer to all questions is yes, how much do you want to spend?
