I have a 1957 D-14 that does not and did not have a tachometer. A company in India is selling this "restoration quality" gauge set on ebay for $80. Has anyone had any luck with these? I know for sure the fuel gauge is wrong, but I could leave the traction booster gauge in or replace it too. I am skeptical about these, but most replica gauges are probably made over there anyways. I have also seen a tachometer cable online for $35. Is that all I would need to have an operational tach? Where does to cable hook up on the engine? Any comments are extremely appreciated. Thanks, Matt Splittgerber

I sell d-14 amp,oil pressure, and water temp. gauges that are made in the USA
also sell the tack and traction booster gauges that are made overseas.

I would not even buy them, they do not look even close to authentic. For a bit more money, you can buy authentic looking guages from several of the vendors on this site. I personally have bought several from Norm Steinman (IND above) - including the ones below for my D15.

I made the mistake of buying them for my dads d14, because he wanted to save some money and the amp meter doesn't work and the tach wouldn't read correct.
