Hello. Wondering if anyone has ever adapted a Chevy small block to a wc? Does anybody know where to find a adaptor plate for the bell housing? Or would it be easier to extend the frame rails and use the turbo 350 trans and couple that to the input shaft of the 4 speed gearbox? Any help or input on this topic would be greatly appreciated

It's been done before. There have been pics posted in the past. I think you will have to make up your own adapter plate as I don't think there is a supplier. Hope someone else will chime in here with pics or you could try a search looking for WC V8. I was going to do that but ended up parting out the engineless WC!

Just seen one at the Jacksonville Ill. show Saturday. Had a "283" Chevy in it. Even rerouted the steering around the engine with a extra u joint or 2 and made a clean looking rig! Mike

The WC and IH F20 are relativley easy swaps because you can use the motor and transmission combination of your choice and just couple the transmission to the original rear end. The Massey is easy because the transmission has a coupler in front of it so you only need to mate a shaft from that to the clutch. I have seen many different types of engines in these tractors over the years.

Not a WC, but here in the Netherlands there's a guy that converted a 305 Chevy into a ED-40.
