does anyone have step by step instructions on how to remove the throat and header on a R62 combine.  We sucked up a shovel from a cultivator and broke chains and slats on conveyor to grain compartment.

You sure don't have to remove the feederhouse (throat) to replace either front or rear feed chains. Removing the header ?? should be a five minute job....

was told we have to remove the throat and header in one piece by local dealer.  It is the rear chains and slats that need tlc.  The ones that go up to the grain bin.

we are in the grain bin looking down at the chains that are broken and the slats that are bent.

Open the double screen doors underneath the transmission. Then crawl inside and open the bottom door to the rear feed chain floor to gain access to the chain and slats. Find a guy who isn't over 200 lbs to do this.
