When I release the foot clutch on my WD the transmission engages no matter if the hand clutch is forward or back. Never owned a wd, could any one suggest what the problem is? Thanks

It is either warped, stuck, adjusted too tight, or eliminated. It could also be that the shift collar is not disengaging the clutch. It should make a distinctive snap sound when it is disengaged. Some antique tractor pullers eliminate it for weight. Just some ideas. pull the plate off from under the battery box and check it out. With the tractor off engage and disengage the hand clutch lever. The plates should seperate. Also watch the linkages to be sure they are working.

There is always some drag and the tractor will want to creep. If a light touch of the brakes stops it , your ok., if not you have hand clutch problems.
