What is the best way to get grill shell removed from a IB? will restore this tractor when i get every thing working and repaired, then will tear down to do final restoration. It is a later model IB-3397, the engine seems ok but the rest of tractor,  it does need to be restored. had a cycle mower on it but iam not going to put it back. Maybe droping front axle and front brkt. would be easyier than removeing wrap around for now? Ideas appreciated.   THANKS

I think you will have to remove the wrap around. Dont think the radiator cover will come off. It needs to move forward 4-6 inches to get it off before the radiator comes off.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

take the axle stablizer loose from the torque tube before you take out the pivot pin in the axle.  This will save you a lot of tears later.

A previus owner of my IB cut the bottom of the radiator cover from mine in order to remove the radiator. So I will need to replace mine when i restore it.

In your case I would remove the frame. Sometimes taking a little extra time is worth while.

The universal answer to all questions is yes, how much do you want to spend?

Congrats on getting an IB Gary. It is a nice little tractor to own.

Front axle needs to be removed first. Then you remove all front mounting bolts. Remove all rear bolts but two for pivots, and drop the wrap around down in front. That's how I dropped mine out and then re-installed my wrap around during the restoration process of my IB. After I devised a plan, it came right out. That was the easy part. Man, that was a bear to do without chippin' any new paint, especially by myself on the re-install! I put the front of the wrap around on a floor jack rolled it under the Tractor (no front axle in it at the time) started a couple rear bolts, and gently lifted the the front of the wrap around with the floor jack. Went right into place. After that episode though, I had to go sit down and have a glass of red wine and relax for a bit! LOL!  Big smile
