Hi, anyone know of a listing of AC-90 by build year and serial number?  I have two (a donor # 1727) and a runner # 4652 and I would be curious about what year each was built.  The older machine has much better color but might have been shedded all of it's life or were these built between the Persian Orange one and two change?.

Also wondering if anyone has a line on tachometer parts.  Neither has a tach and that would be very nice to have.  Saw one once on a older Engine powered AC-60 and would like to be able to see cylinder speed from the seat....  Know this is probably like asking for fresh water in the Gobi desert...

The 90 combine was produced from 1957 to 1960 with a total of 7540 units built. Your earlier one is a 1958 and your later one is a 1959. They were all persian orange #1 in color. There was a tach offered for the 90 but finding one will probably be difficult. I am not sure if it would be the same one that the 60 and 66 used or not. Hope this helps.  Don Jr.

I just got a All Crop 90 serial 7222 with a cream auger and wheels. Would it have been painted PO #2 originally? Once the hump was added, were there any other running changes?

Nothing is impossible if it is properly financed

Actually there were some 90s that were painted at the factory with the new persian orange #2 and creme wheels.  Arland Lepper's 90 that is ran at Hutch each year is one example. Once in a while you will find one that is the persian orange #1 with creme wheels.  When A-C came out with the new colors in 1960 they actually send creme paint out to dealers with old stock and had them paint the wheels white to match the new lineup.  I believe there were some machines that were at the factories that were even repainted.  I have seen a few grain drills(which would have been from LaCrosse) that had been repainted and redecaled.  The funny thing is any place the paint has been scratched you can see the old orange come through and on several of these drills they said "Allis-Chalmers" on the side but the All-Crop decal is visible underneath.  The first one I saw I thought it was a one time deal but have since seen several others.

As for running updates I cannot think of any others for the 90s.

Heres a picture of Arland's 90.

Hi Tom, saw your post.  Does it mean you are willing to part with the tachometer and operating hardware or does one need to buy the whole combine?

Thanks
Craig
