I was going to post pics of this to the thread a while back about all of us old geezers having trouble 'slinging' the drawbar into place on our tractors. Didn't take me long to figure this one out and it sure has saved my back and arms, not to mention FINGERS! It has a shelf where you can put the wrenches, pins etal. too. How does it work on a dirt floor:) I used to have a home made bracket on my 45 drawbar for the No. 5 JD sickle mower. It added about 50 pounds to it. I took that of aboout 19 years ago and haven't used the mower since. Just made the DB toooooo heavy.

| Not to hi-jack this post,,,,,but I got a question for you guys. About every single wd you see the bail that holds the drawbar up has been broken and welded. how does that happen? We have had a couple since near new and have nevre broken that piece, but every one I buy has had it welded. |

i used to have a problem getting the snap coulper draw bar put on when i was younger. i just sat on the ground under the tractor and put the cross piece of the draw bar on my legs and use my legs to lift it up there. ------------- wd with a freeman model 90 trip loader, wd45, 38 unstylled wc, b 10 garden tractor and 2-14 ac trip plow. grandpa has a 56 wd45. wd. allis chalmers snap coupler blade and 3 bottom snap coupler plow |

I was going to add that the D15 drawbar is heavy also. I can mount the D14 and CA, but the D15 is a chore.

I'm a 'cheater' too. Got 3 D-14s and have ALL the drawbars collecting dust as I never use them. I made a 'SC carryall' frame that has a 2" sleeve on it.Primary use is an 'offroad' forklift(spmehow acquired 3 sets of used forks..),but the sleeve allows me to pull anything like the tandem discs,trailers,etc. ------------- 3 D-14s,A-C forklift, B-112 Kubota BX23S lil' TOOT( The Other Orange Tractor) Never burn your bridges, unless you can walk on water |

So would it work to just balance it on a floor jack and roll it under the tractor then jack it to the correct hieght? ------------- The universal answer to all questions is yes, how much do you want to spend? |

| Boy I just read some good news! I use to not have a problem throwen the WD drawbars, but can't manage the D19 and was thinking it was an age issue. Glad to hear they are heavier and it ain't got nothin to do with age. |

Charlie, it works pretty good on dirt floors too. That is a piece of outdoor carpet it is on. Easier than laying on the ground getting dirt into every part of your body. I have mostly sand and it works good. Couldn't do it sitting anymore, got cramps almost every time I did it. This suits me just fine! Hardest part is lining up the holes for the pins.

| Thanks for the idea Ted. I have one of those Harbor Freight furniture dollys that I filled in the open center with a piece of 3/4" plywood to move heavy stuff around the shop. It will be perfect to make a box to sit my CA drawbar on when I need to mount/dismount it. |

| I've noticed the one on my D17 seems to have got heavier lately, so I sling it on a chain from the lift arms and lift them up to where I need it and sling it into the bell, then adjust the lift arms to line up the pins. |

| Ted, I like that idea, with my friend Arthur Itus starting to take his toll, I will be able to get those bad boy's off and on alot easier, should have Mike Noonan draw one up and start selling them. Also with it bolted to the floor and set at the right height you could just back right in!!!! |
