Finally got the Hooter back together and running. Too many projects going on this summer so I didn't get a chance to finish it up until last Saturday. New front bolster (Thanks Skyhigh!), new rims (Thanks Rick!), new front tires, new front axle assembly, hub and assorted parts (Thanks Don Bradley) - plus a whole lot of help from the forum guys and especially Don. I could not have done it without all the help and advice. Per forum advice I went with wider tires (6.50s) - I didn't go the whole way to 7.50s as I took the loader off for good (anyone want to buy a trip loader?). Instead of the tri rib I went with the quad lower rib design as I don't have power steering. Tried it out this week doing a little brush hogging. Most of the play in the steering is gone, she steers great. Without the loader on it will be easier to get at everything now and should be a lot easier on the front end. Now I have to catch up on all my projects that didn't get done when the Hooter was down........

That's great you got her back on her feet again. Glade to help you out. That bolster as been on three tractors now, started out on Mike's D17 them on my D17 for two months before I installed a narrow front and sold the D17 now it's on your D17, it's been around and I think it's good for years to come. lol
