From Podium newsletter Nov 11:
So what original equipment argument can be made to ensure 38” tires are
allowed to level the playing field for AC’s? There were versions of the WC, WD
and WD-45 that featured 38” rubber. Some of the early versions were
aftermarket high crop tractors, such as the Thompson kit. There are
documented factory instances that show 38” rubber for high crop and vegetable
special tractors.

Could these tires on my '37WC  be ORIGINAL?
Someone told me they were old and called "turkey-tread", and looks like the tire tread in WC photo Brochure above?

No WC ever had 38" tires, but the "Vegetable Special" single front models and "Cane" models that were both A-C produced and converted by Thomson had 7.50x36 or 9.00x36 tires. Modern replacement would be 11.2x36 for the larger size. Of course these "Hi-Crop" models also had a special 6.6:1 ring & pinion, that's the same ratio used in the RC. Kip
